Unknown gunmen murder Imo retired police officer, slit his throat
A retired police officer, Chris Kpatuma, (a.k.a Hipis), Gunmen was on Wednesday, murdered in Mgbala Agwa Autonomous Community, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo.
Informed sources said that the attackers were suspected to be escapees from the Owerri Correctional Centre, who live in a neighboring community.
It was reported that Kpatuma was killed at the entrance of his home where he was shot dead and his body taken away.
It was also revealed that his throat was slit when his body was later found.
The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, Mike Abatam, has confirmed the ugly incident, saying his men have begun investigations into the matter.
