Two traffic wardens perish in Calabar auto crash
A double tragedy befell the Cross River State Police Command on Wednesday evening as two of their officers died in separate but related accidents in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
In the first accident, a traffic warden, who is the mother of triplets, simply identified as Obasse, was crushed at her duty post when a haulage truck, loaded with scrapped metals, lost control at the Wapi junction by Mutala Muhammed Highway.
The second accident occurred as the first accident victim was being rushed to a hospital.
