The police from Delta Command, yesterday arrested the traditional ruler, Ogoani of Okpanam, Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu, of Okpanam Kingdom.

It was gathered the monarch’s arrest may not be unconnected an alleged land dispute.

The king, who was returning from the church, was reported to have been bundled into a waiting van to Abuja by armed men who operated in a Toyota Sienna.

Speaking at the palace, Dominic Anyasi, a senior chief had issued a 24-hour ultimatum for the monarch to be produced.

Also Steve Okonta lamented that the entire community has been searching for the king without success.
